A master's job is
never done, it lives on through the ages.
The Installation of Officers was held on January 22nd and the musical selections recited were all performed by students of Clovis High School. After the installation refreshments and dancing was enjoyed by all.
During the time of World War II, the flag of our country was escorted in and out of the Lodge room with Grand Honors at every meeting as a constant reminder of our brethren fighting for their country. In March the Secretaries salary was raised to $40.00 per month and as with inflation that salary just keeps on rising!!! hehehe
During the War a lot of visiting brethren came to Clovis Lodge. They were stationed at "Camp Pinedale" located in Pinedale, Ca., which is now the intersection of Blackstone and Herndon avenues located in Fresno, Ca.
In June they finally got the OK to get the cooling fixed in the Lodge room and in July, after further investigation, it was determined that there was no possible way to get air conditioning into the Lodge room the motion was tabled and no further action was taken. Just when they get the OK, they realize it couldn't be done!!! hehehe
In October they read a communication from a Bro. C. Pendergrass who had lost his Grand Lodge Certificate in the attack on Tarawa, and would appreciate it if another could be gotten for him from the Grand Lodge.
On September 2,1974 Bro. George Wayne Rall passed away. Kind words spoken were, "Bro. Wayne, a former Mayor of Clovis, was active in civic affairs here for many years. He demitted to Clovis Lodge in 1935 from Michigan."
